Our mission

The CNCP – National Coordination of Professional Counsellors – is a professional association founded in 2002.

We bring together qualified counsellors across Italy, working under Law 4/2013, with a shared goal: to promote the practice of counselling and support its growth through clear standards, quality training, and ethical commitment.

We work to:

• Set and certify high professional standards for our members

• Support ongoing training and development to ensure those standards are upheld

• Recognize accredited counselling schools and training programs

• Maintain a national registry of counsellors to help clients make informed, confident choices

• Promote scientific dialogue through events and conferences

• Foster institutional relationships to protect and advance the counselling profession
